For the last 19 years an exchange trip has been organised between Earls Barton United F.C. and Wittlich town in southern Germany, not far from the border with Luxembourg. Every other year a group of our young footballers along with adults from the club visit Wittlich and stay with exchange families for a few days during the Easter holidays. This year it is the turn of the u12 boys and u14 girls teams who are looking forward to the trip and forming some new friendships. Whilst there we will visit local places of interest, go to a Bundesliga football match with Mainz playing Cologne, as well as play a 5 a side tournament and on the Friday the girls and boys will play the teams from Wittlich. Over the years we have had a mixture of weather from hot sunshine to snow and ice, so this year we are hoping for the good weather to continue whilst we are in Germany to help us forge the very strong link between the two towns and hope it will continue for many years to come.
