In the reverse fixture from last week the game was much of the same. Barton created plenty of chances before finally finding the back of the net on 18 minutes, Amy Moore heading over the keeper after the ball had been pinging around in the air for a few minutes. Amy had plenty of through balls for her to run onto and score but each time finding the keeper instead of the goal. Lauren Care scored the 2nd on 30 minutes, this time Amy Moore being provider, squaring the ball to Lauren on the edge of the area for her to fire high into the back of the net. H-T 0-2 Barton scored almost immediately from the restart, Vicky Farmer playing the ball through the Thorplands defence for Donna Norman to coolly slot past the keeper. Donna scored a similar goal for her second on 75 minutes, Lauren Care this time the provider and 3 minutes later Donna completed her hat trick, Natasha Smith running onto a goal kick, travelling down the wing and crossing for Donna to finish. Barton's player of the match voted by the opposition, Jade Brayfield. |
