With very little time to warm up and stiff limbs after sitting for so long in the cars Barton took a time to get going. In that 20 minute period Bourne had scored 3 goals and Barton now had a battle on their hands to get back into the game. We kept the score at 3-0 til half time, when we were able to reshuffle the pack and start again in the second half.

Bourne scored a further 2 goals quite soon after the break but Barton were not going to give in and a goal on 52 minutes from Megan Watkins lifted the spirits of the team. Kelly Hewitt made it 5-2 on 68 minutes and 3 minutes later Megan scored her second to make it very interesting for the last 9 minutes of the game.
