City Belles opened the scoring on 15 minutes and could have doubled their score before Barton replied but for a couple of good saves from Katie Newman in the Barton goal. Kelly Hewitt equalised for Barton on 35 minutes, latching onto a good ball over the Belles defence from Emily Baldry and firing into the far corner.

Belles struck two quick goals 10 minutes into the second half leaving enough time for Barton to get back into the game but several easy opportunities were missed before Ashleigh Goodman found the back of the next in the last minute of the game to finish off a good display by her but not enough to find a point for Barton.
