Earls Barton enjoyed a comfortable win over Kettering Amazons this afternoon with a good all round team performance. Katie Allen opened the scoring for Barton on 25 minutes, the Amazons keeper could only parry a shot from across the goal and Katie was there at the far post to tap in the rebound. Ten minutes later Katie became provider laying the ball off for Megan Roberts to score from just insider the 18 yard box. H-T 2-0 After the break the partnership of Megan Roberts and Katie Allen continued to cause the Amazons defence problems and probably could have scored more but another 3 was enough to secure the much needed points for Barton. On 69 minutes Megan returned the favour and played the ball into Katie Allen who fired in from the edge of the 6 yard box. Six minutes later Kettering managed to find the back of the net but within 3 minutes Barton had restored their 3 goal advantage this time Lauren Perkins played the ball from midfield into the path of Megan Roberts for her to fire high into the top right corner. Megan completed her hat trick five minutes later, running with the ball from 25 yards out, shaking off the defender and slotting past the keeper.
