A really tight game that, until the last 10-15 minutes, could have gone either way but the Barton boys managed to squeeze a victory thanks to a long range effort from Jake – bad luck from the keeper saw a twisted ankle cause the ball to bounce over him and into the net – and a blasted clearance deflected off Kai for a goal following a cracking run all the way from the left back position into the opposition by Joey before his fierce strike rattled the bar.
The game was won as a result of a really strong defensive performance by Olli, Joey, Harrison and Bob which helped Benjamin get his first clean sheet of the season.
Last season we may not have got anything from this type of game, so real progression – well done lads!
